Earning points

  • How are TrueBlue points calculated?
In the TrueBlue program, TrueBlue points are earned by purchasing qualifying services or products of JetBlue Airways or a TrueBlue partner. Earning of points on JetBlue is based on the base fare paid for JetBlue flights and eligible fees, less taxes and non-eligible fees. You earn 3 points for every dollar spent. You will earn an additional 3 points per dollar spent if you book on That means, for example, if you book a flight at you earn a total of 6 points for every dollar spent. Earn points for JetBlue services too. You'll earn 300 points for every JetPaws fee paid and 100 points when purchasing each Even More™ Space seat.

TrueBlue members earn 6 points per dollar on the base price (excluding taxes and fees) of JetBlue Getaways vacation packages, including the JetBlue flight, hotel, car, and activities purchased at the time of booking. Cruise vacation packages are eligible to earn TrueBlue points on the base airfare purchase price for the flight portion of the package. Plus, TrueBlue members earn an additional 2 TrueBlue points for every eligible $1 spent on JetBlue vacation packages when they use their JetBlue Card from American Express®, for a total of 8 TrueBlue points for every eligible $1 spent.
  • Is there a benefit to booking travel at
Absolutely! As a member of TrueBlue you will earn 3 points per dollar spent, and when you book at your points are doubled—so that's 6 points per dollar spent.

Let's say you purchased a roundtrip flight from New York to Long Beach, CA on, and spent $300.00 excluding taxes and fees. $300 x 3 points per dollar spent equals 900 points earned. Redeeming points for Award Flights

  • How many TrueBlue points do I need to receive an Award Flight?
Just as regular fares vary, the points required for an Award Flight will also vary depending on the destination, day of the week, season, and advance booking window.

Certain flights require more points and higher government taxes/fees to redeem award travel. The number of points required for a particular flight is based on the published base fare at the time of booking, which depends on, among other things, the flight chosen and applicability of peak travel periods. Taxes and fees apply to award flights, are the responsibility of the passenger, and will vary based on your departure and destination cities. For domestic award flights, taxes/fees is $5.60 for one-way and $11.20 for roundtrip flights. For international award flights, taxes/fees range from $5.60-$161.50 for one-way and $27.60-$171.60 for roundtrip flights. Award flight fares also do not include fees for oversized/overweight/extra baggage, $25 fee per person for fares purchased by phone or at an airport or ticket office, and other fees for products/services sold separately. To view baggage fees and other optional services and fees, click here. Taxes and fees must be paid at time of award flight booking and are subject to change as required by law.

TrueBlue Mosaic

  • What points are eligible for qualification?
Base flight points are the 3 points you earn on the base fare of each JetBlue flight you buy. All other bonus points, partner points, points you earn on other airlines and booking bonuses do not count towards the qualification of TrueBlue Mosaic. For example, the bonus points you earn from booking JetBlue flights online and the bonus points you earn for having a TrueBlue Mosaic badge will not count towards earning the Mosaic badge.
  • What is a flight segment?
A "segment" means any origin-destination pair. A one-way flight (whether non-stop or including a connection) is one segment, and a roundtrip flight (whether non-stop or including a connection) is two segments.
  • Does my flight activity for this year (2015) count towards qualification?
Yes, all 2015 travel will count towards TrueBlue Mosaic qualification for the following year. Flying the minimum number of segments and/or earning enough base points in 2015 will qualify you for 2016. All qualifying activity resets on January 1.
  • How long does TrueBlue Mosaic last?
The TrueBlue Mosaic badge is good for one calendar year, so you need to meet the Mosaic qualifications every calendar year if you want to keep the Mosaic badge. You can earn the badge based on your flight activity and points earned in the previous calendar year. For example, meeting the criteria through flying and earning points in 2015 would get you the TrueBlue Mosaic badge for 2016.
  • Do the points I earn with partners help me qualify for TrueBlue Mosaic?
No, only JetBlue base flight points are eligible for TrueBlue Mosaic. So the 3 points you earn on the base fare on JetBlue flights are the only points eligible.
  • How will I know if I earned the TrueBlue Mosaic badge?
You will be able to track your activity on the TrueBlue homepage once signed in with our Mosaic trackers. We'll also notify you via e-mail when you're close to qualifying for TrueBlue Mosaic and once you reach the qualification criteria you will receive an e-mail.
  • How can I take advantage of waived change and cancel fees?
For all Mosaic members who book travel directly on, you can make changes or cancellations to your bookings online or call the Mosaic dedicated customer service line.
For all Mosaic members who book travel via a corporate or leisure Travel Agency, you must contact your Travel Agent to make changes or cancellations to your bookings.
  • Are there special rules for TrueBlue Mosaic members?
The TrueBlue Terms and Conditions still apply. Click here for details.
